Designed for students in grades 9-12, Studio Art is a semester-long elective course that introduces students to two-dimensional visual art. Rooted in a biblical view of creativity, students engage in a sustained visual inquiry process using the elements and principles of art while exploring personal inspiration, meaning, and craftsmanship.

Through sketchbooking, critique, and art-making, students develop a portfolio of original work and learn how to present their creative vision with clarity and purpose. The course also includes professional practices such as writing artist statements, documenting artwork, and identifying opportunities to exhibit their work for God’s glory.
